Tattoo FAQs

Do I need to book an ink appointment?

Whilst we do welcome ‘walk ins’, we cannot guarantee that a member of the team will be available at that time. To avoid disappointment we would always recommend that you book an appointment.

How do I book an appointment?

We’d love to hear from you and learn more about your ideas. Please click HERE to visit our contact page.

What are your prices?

Due to the bespoke nature of our business, we are unable to give quotes over the phone or via email. We will need you to visit the studio to discuss your ideas, body placement and for us to take measurements. This will allow us to estimate the length of time that your tattoo will take and the pricing for your session/s.
(Does Mel require a deposit? Non-refundable? If yes, enter that here)

Can I cancel or change my appointment?

Yes but we require a minimum of XX hours notice. Please note that your deposit(?) is non-refundable.

How long will my appointment be?

As all tattoos are different, the length of time that it will take to complete your design will depend upon the size, placement and amount of detail required.
During your consultation, we will be able to give you a time estimate. However, as tattooing is an art, rather than a science, we cannot always be held to time constraints…..and we’re also sure that you would rather we took our time to get it right! We will always do our best to complete your ink in the shortest time possible, without sacrificing quality.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

  1. We advise that you bring pictures and references to your appointment so we can get a good idea of the design and style you want. Please bring hard copies rather than images on a digital device.
  2. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Are there any reasons why you may not continue with my ink appointment?

  1. It is against the law to tattoo anyone in the UK under the age of 18, even with parental permission (Tattooing of Minors Act 1969). If we have any doubts about your age, you will be asked for photo I.D (please do not be offended if we ask).
  2. We will not tattoo anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You will be turned away.
  3. Bohemian Ink will always reserve the right to refuse or pause a service if it is in the interest of the safety of its staff or customers.

Can I bring friends or family to an appointment?

We don’t recommend bringing groups of friends or family along. They can be a distraction and disruptive to the process. If, however, you wish to have a friend or family member present for support, we will allow them to hang out with you for a bit.

Will it hurt?

Will I need to do anything specific before or after my ink session?

  1. Before your appointment, please be ensure that you are well rested, well fed and on time.
  2. After your appointment, you will need to follow some aftercare instructions to ensure that your piercing remains clean and infection free. Your tattoo artist or a fellow member of the Bohemian Ink team will provide you with specific instructions, however information can also be found on our Aftercare page, HERE.
